In September 2023, we were proud to be awarded 3 AA Rosettes – a milestone that reflected the hard work and dedication of our entire team. This recognition reaffirmed our mission: to deliver innovative menus, outstanding service, and an experience that evolves with the needs and tastes of our guests.

Our kitchen team has always been driven by curiosity and creativity. From championing the best seasonal produce to using techniques that bring out flavour at its best, our food offering has constantly moved forward. This September, we’re taking the next step in that journey.

From Wednesday 10th September, a new menu will launch in The Lantern Room restaurant. Our 3 AA Rosettes reflect our commitment to quality, not formality. This menu will be as inviting midweek as it is at the weekend!

Why the Change?

We know that great food is something to be enjoyed any day of the week. Our new approach is about giving guests even more reason to join us regularly, whether for a relaxed midweek dinner, a catch-up with friends, or simply because you don’t feel like cooking.

The menu will still carry the craft and creativity that define John and The Lantern Room – but with a style that’s more approachable, versatile, and encouraging of frequent visits. Think exciting twists on familiar flavours, dishes that celebrate the very best of the season, and plates that bring comfort as much as they inspire.
