Pricing

All rooms, facilities and rates offered by Manor House Lindley are subject to availability at the time of booking and the discretion of the General Manager.

All rates include VAT at the current rate that is deemed by the government at the time of booking. Should the VAT alter in any way, we reserve the right to adjust relevant prices relating to The Event, at any point.

Manor House Lindley reserves the right to review its pricing annually and to alter prices and rates without notice. Notification once the prices have been altered, shall be sent to The Client(s) immediately.

Deposits and Pre-Payments

Manor House Lindley may require a deposit to secure the booking – this will be determined by each booking individually. In all cases where a deposit is requested, failure to pay a deposit will entitle Manor House Lindley to treat the booking as cancelled.

If The Client(s) cancels at any point, any deposits paid will not be refunded and are non-transferrable. The Deposits will be set against any cancellation charges that are deemed fit by Manor House Lindley.

If The Client(s) cancels their booking, they will still be liable for any deposits they are due to pay at the time of cancellation as per their contract.

Payment

Payment is by cash, cheque payable to Manor House Lindley Ltd, BACS or such credit and debit cards as are recognized by Manor House Lindley. Manor House Lindley reserves the right to refuse a method of payment and ask for an alternative if necessary.

At least 5 working days will be required to process cheque payments. Cheques can be accepted as deposits only, not to pay for services at time of use.

Cancellations

Cancellations or postponements by The Client(s);

  • must be in writing and signed by all major parties involved in The Booking.
  • will forfeit the initial deposits paid.

Manor House Lindley may cancel the booking at any time and without liability to The Client(s);

  • if The Client(s) is unable to pay its debts/deposits as they fall due. Each deposit must be received within 14 days of the required time scale.
  • if any part of hotel is closed or unable to operate for any reason beyond Manor House Lindley’s control.
  • if The Client(s) are discriminative, abusive, violent or insulting in any way to any member of staff

Manor House Lindley does not accept any liability for the cancellation or delay of any event or failure to provide any of the agreed services which is caused by an occurrence or circumstance beyond the control of Manor House Lindley. Including (but not limited to) industrial disputes, terrorist activity, natural disaster, fire, fire evacuation alarm, decrees of Government, or disruption of utility services and the foregoing shall not give rise to any claim for compensation or damages.

It is The Client(s)’ responsibility to take out insurance to cover any unexpected cancellations that may be made by The Client(s)s themselves, Manor House Lindley.

Etiquette

Manor House Lindley reserves the right to judge acceptable levels of noise and/or behaviour of The Client(s), guests or representatives including any suppliers and The Client(s) must take all steps necessary for corrective action as requested by management of Manor House Lindley. In The Event of failure to comply with management requests, Manor House Lindley may terminate the booking or stop any event at any point without being liable for any refund or compensation.

It is the policy of Manor House Lindley not to discriminate on the grounds of race, colour, nationality, creed, sex, marital status, age, sexual orientation, ethnic origin or disability. The Client(s), its employees, guests and all sub–contractors engaged by or on behalf of The Client(s) are expected to adhere to this policy and Manor House Lindley may, without incurring any liability, remove from Manor House Lindley any person offending against this policy.

Prior consent of Manor House Lindley must be received for any entertainment or services contracted by The Client(s) or for any display to be fixed. All displays must comply with statutory codes and regulations. If any display, decoration entertainment etc. is carried out without prior consent, a charge may be applicable to cover the costs of any damages etc. made as a result.

Manor House Lindley reserves the right to charge The Client(s) for any damages made to Manor House Lindley caused either by them, their guests or any suppliers.

No smoking is permitted inside the building in any area of Manor House Lindley. There are designated smoking areas outside of the building which we ask are adhered to. Any guest caught smoking inside or in non-designated outside areas, will be handed an on the spot fine of £300.00 and asked to leave the premises.

Manor House Lindley will accept no responsibility for any issues resulting from late arrivals, and reserves the right to cancel any event where the resulting lateness would affect other bookings or residents.

No advertising public or otherwise of any event at Manor House Lindley without permission.

External purchases

No wines, spirits, beers or food may be brought into Manor House Lindley or its grounds by The Client(s), guests or representatives for consumption or sale on the premise s without the express written consent of Manor House Lindley and for which a charge may be made by Manor House Lindley.

Outside catering is not permitted by another company and all food, must be supplied and prepared by Manor House Lindley.

Safety

Guests using the facilities of Manor House Lindley must comply with all the regulations concerning fire, health & safety policy.

In accordance with Fire Regulations, the guest numbers must not exceed the maximum capacity of the agreed layout of the event room or hotel bedrooms

For reasons of safety, it is the responsibility of the parents/guardians of any children to ensure that their children are fully supervised at all times, including the bedrooms and gardens.

Manor House Lindley shall not be liable for any loss or damage to the property of the guests or any such person as may so occupy the premises except within the constraints of the Hotel Proprietors Act 1965

Manor House Lindley does not accept responsibility whatsoever for damage to, or theft from, vehicles parked on hotel premises or for items left behind or in the bedrooms or public areas including the function suite.
